What Stage 3 Compression Is Designed For

  • Manufactured in Colombia at our highest compression level, equivalent to Ultra-Sculpt, for maximum sculpting and contouring during the final phase of surgical recovery
  • Mid-thigh fajas for extended compression from waist to thigh, actively molding the midsection, hips, and thighs as final results settle
  • Waist cinchers for targeted maximum compression around the waist, refining and defining the waistline as post-surgical tissue reaches its final form
  • Appropriate for BBL, liposuction, lipo 360, tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and full body contouring once your surgeon clears you to transition from Stage 2
  • Stage 3 is not for immediate post-surgical wear — the body must have progressed through Stage 1 and Stage 2 healing before tolerating this level of compression
  • Always follow your surgeon's specific instructions for when to transition to Stage 3 and how long to wear it

Frequently Asked Questions About Stage 3 Fajas

What is a Stage 3 faja?
A Stage 3 faja is a high-compression post surgical garment worn during the final phase of recovery, once the body has progressed through Stage 1 and Stage 2 healing and can fully tolerate maximum compression. Stage 3 fajas are manufactured in Colombia at our highest compression level, the same as our Ultra-Sculpt everyday garments, and are designed to actively mold the body to its desired surgical outcome as swelling has largely resolved and results begin to settle into their final form. Our Stage 3 collection includes mid-thigh fajas and waist cinchers for BBL, liposuction, lipo 360, tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and full body contouring recovery.
When should I transition to a Stage 3 faja?
Most surgeons recommend transitioning to Stage 3 between six and twelve weeks post-surgery, once Stage 2 healing is complete, residual swelling has significantly reduced, and your body is ready to tolerate maximum compression. The exact timing depends on your procedure, your individual recovery pace, and your surgeon's protocol. Never transition to Stage 3 without your surgeon's clearance. Your body needs to have fully progressed through Stage 1 and Stage 2 before the tissue can respond positively to Stage 3 compression without stress or discomfort.
Why is Stage 3 compression the highest if the body is further along in recovery?
During Stage 1, fresh surgical sites and fragile healing tissue require gentler compression to protect rather than shape. As healing progresses through Stage 2, the body tolerates progressively firmer compression. By Stage 3, the surgical sites are sufficiently healed, swelling has largely resolved, and the tissue is ready to respond to maximum compression for active contouring and result refinement. At this stage, high compression does not stress healing tissue — it works with the recovering tissue to mold and define the final outcome of your surgery.
What is the difference between a Stage 3 mid-thigh faja and a waist cincher?
A Stage 3 mid-thigh faja provides maximum compression from the waist through the thighs, actively molding the midsection, hips, and upper thighs simultaneously. It is the right choice for procedures that treated a broad area including the hips and thighs, such as lipo 360, full body contouring, and BBL. A Stage 3 waist cincher focuses maximum compression specifically on the waist and upper abdomen, providing targeted contouring and waist definition. It is ideal for tummy tuck recovery and for patients whose primary sculpting goal is waist refinement.
Is Stage 3 the same as Ultra-Sculpt?
Yes. Stage 3 garments are manufactured at the same maximum compression level as our Ultra-Sculpt everyday shapewear. The difference is application — Stage 3 styles are specifically constructed for post-surgical recovery with procedure-appropriate design, while Ultra-Sculpt styles are designed for everyday high-compression shaping. Both provide our highest compression level.
How long do I wear a Stage 3 faja?
Stage 3 compression is typically worn for several months as your surgical results continue to settle and refine. Some patients wear Stage 3 garments for three to six months post-surgery, while others continue longer depending on their results and goals. Unlike Stage 1 and Stage 2, Stage 3 wear is often more flexible in terms of daily hours — many patients wear Stage 3 garments for most of the day rather than continuously overnight. Your surgeon's guidance takes priority on duration and wear schedule.
Can I wear a Stage 3 faja for everyday shaping after recovery?
Yes. Once your surgeon confirms your recovery is complete, Stage 3 mid-thigh fajas and waist cinchers provide exceptional everyday high-compression shaping. Many patients continue wearing their Stage 3 garments as part of their daily routine after recovery for ongoing waist definition and midsection contouring. At this point they function identically to our Ultra-Sculpt everyday compression garments.
